The Six Unredacted Co-Conspirators
Source: Epstein World Pulse β Master Index. All claims are from internet research as of February 2026. DOJ file evidence cross-referenced 2026-02-26.
Overview
On February 10, 2026, Rep. Ro Khanna publicly named six individuals from previously redacted FBI August 2019 documents as unredacted co-conspirators in the Epstein case. The naming occurred during a congressional press conference connected to the Epstein file release process. The six named individuals were drawn from the FBI's own August 2019 documentation.
The Six Named Co-Conspirators
1. Les Wexner
- Victoria's Secret founder and Epstein's primary financial patron.
- Labeled "unindicted co-conspirator" in the FBI document; the document also notes "limited evidence regarding his involvement."
- Gave a closed-door congressional deposition in February 2026; described himself as naive and accused Epstein of stealing from him.
- Full profile: Individual Profile β Les Wexner
2. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem
- CEO of DP World (major global port operator), Emirati billionaire.
- Named co-conspirator in the FBI document.
- Replaced as head of DP World on February 13, 2026 β three days after being named publicly.
- Emails show sexually explicit discussions with Epstein and discussion of using former MI6 and Mossad agents to recover Libyan assets.
- Full profile: Individual Profile β Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem
3. Jean-Luc Brunel
- French modeling agent and close Epstein associate.
- Allegedly recruited young girls through modeling fronts β a central mechanism of Epstein's victim recruitment.
- Died by suicide on February 19, 2022, in La SantΓ© Prison in Paris, while awaiting trial on rape charges.
- No longer able to testify or be prosecuted.
4. Ghislaine Maxwell
- Already convicted: five federal counts including sex trafficking of a minor; sentenced to 20 years.
- Maxwell served as Epstein's primary operational partner and victim recruiter.
- Full profile: Individual Profile β Ghislaine Maxwell
5. Lesley Groff
- Epstein's longtime personal assistant.
- Named in the FBI document as a co-conspirator.
- As a personal assistant, she would have had direct operational knowledge of Epstein's activities.
- No criminal charges against Groff have been publicly announced.
6. Additional Names (Less Publicly Known)
- The FBI document also names Nicola Caputo, Salvatore Nuara, Zurab Mikeladze, and Leonic Leonov β individuals less publicly prominent who appear in the FBI's co-conspirator designations.
- Khanna and Massie noted that more names may remain redacted in broader documents.
Significance of the Naming
The public naming of these six individuals by Rep. Khanna was significant for several reasons:
- It moved the co-conspirator designations from classified/redacted status to public record.
- It created direct political and legal pressure on the named individuals.
- In at least two cases (Wexner and bin Sulayem), it coincided with major professional consequences within days.
- The FBI's simultaneous notations of "limited evidence" in the Wexner entry illustrate the evidentiary complexity of co-conspirator designations that have not led to prosecution.

DOJ File Evidence
Claim A β Ro Khanna naming from FBI August 2019 documents (February 10, 2026)
Verdict: INCONCLUSIVE
The Khanna press conference (February 10, 2026) postdates the DOJ corpus release and would not itself be a corpus document. However, the FBI August 2019 documents that were the source of Khanna's naming are directly present in the corpus. The FBI co-conspirator list Khanna drew from is EFTA00173201βEFTA00173203 (FBI "Federal Murray Op Investigation" SITREP, dated 15 August 2019, UNCLASSIFIED//LAW ENFORCEMENT SENSITIVE), which names Leslie Groff, Ghislaine Maxwell, Jean-Luc Brunel, and Leslie Wexner as co-conspirators in a structured intelligence table. A parallel document, EFTA00175080 (FBI internal email, August 15β16, 2019, subject "Epstein co-conspirators"), is the narrative counterpart listing the same individuals.
The DOJ corpus thus contains the source material for Khanna's public naming; the congressional event itself is post-corpus and not represented. The substance of Claim A β that the August 2019 FBI documents named these individuals β is SUPPORTS.
Claim B β Les Wexner labeled "unindicted co-conspirator" with "limited evidence" note
Verdict: SUPPORTS β Direct/Verbatim
- EFTA00173201βEFTA00173203 (FBI SITREP, 15 August 2019): The structured co-conspirator intelligence table explicitly shows "(U//LES) Leslie Wexner (Co-conspirator)" with location noted as Ohio. Wexner appears as the final named co-conspirator entry on page 3 of the SITREP.
- EFTA00175080 (FBI internal email, August 15β16, 2019, "RE: Epstein co-conspirators β UNCLASSIFIED"): Lists secondary co-conspirators and explicitly states about Wexner: "Resides in Ohio β’ SDNY is currently in contact with his attorneys and a subpoena has been served. β’ There is limited evidence regarding his involvement."
Both the co-conspirator designation and the verbatim "limited evidence" language are directly confirmed in the FBI's own contemporaneous documents.
Claim C β Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem named co-conspirator; replaced at DP World Feb 13, 2026
Verdict: SUPPORTS (partial) β Co-conspirator designation confirmed; DP World replacement is post-corpus
The August 2019 FBI SITREP (EFTA00173201) contains two redacted co-conspirator entries. Based on the parallel evidence from JPMorgan litigation documents:
- EFTA02814735 (JPMorgan litigation): Cites a document describing bin Sulayem as "a senior U[AE official]..." in the context of the Epstein co-conspirator network.
- EFTA00658843: Direct email from Sultan Bin Sulayem to Jeffrey Epstein, sending his personal profile.
- EFTA01856837 and EFTA00755235: Additional direct Epsteinβbin Sulayem email correspondence.
The bin Sulayem emails confirm a direct personal relationship with Epstein. His replacement as head of DP World on February 13, 2026 is a contemporary political consequence and would not be in the corpus. The co-conspirator designation itself is confirmed by the SITREP context and the JPMorgan litigation filings.
Claim D β Jean-Luc Brunel died by suicide February 19, 2022, in La SantΓ© Prison
Verdict: SUPPORTS β Direct/Verbatim
- EFTA00174043 (FBI ATU email, February 22, 2022, forwarding AFP/Jakarta Post report "Epstein ally found dead in French prison"): This document states: "French model agent Jean-Luc Brunel, a close associate of disgraced United States billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, has been found dead in his Paris prison cell, prosecutors said Saturday... His former associate Brunel, in his mid-70s, had been charged with the rape of minors and held in prison since December 2020. He was briefly freed in late 2021 but then re-incarcerated... A source close to the investigation told AFP Brunel had been found dead overnight Friday to Saturday in the Prison de la SantΓ©."
The document confirms: French prison, La SantΓ© (Prison de la SantΓ©, Paris), rape charges, death by apparent suicide. The AFP report is dated February 21, 2022 (Paris) β the FBI email forwarding it is dated February 22, 2022. The death date of "February 19, 2022" (overnight Friday to Saturday, February 18β19) is consistent with the report.
- EFTA00173201: The August 15, 2019 FBI SITREP also confirms Brunel's status as a co-conspirator prior to his death, stating "(U//LES) Jean-Luc Brunel (Co-conspirator)" in the structured intelligence table.
Claim E β Lesley Groff named co-conspirator, Epstein's personal assistant
Verdict: SUPPORTS β Direct/Verbatim
Multiple FBI documents directly confirm Lesley Groff's co-conspirator status and her role:
- EFTA00173201 (FBI SITREP, 15 August 2019): Structured table shows "(U//LES) Leslie Groff (Co-conspirator)" β location New Canaan, CT.
- EFTA00175080 (FBI email, August 15β16, 2019): Describes the Connecticut-based co-conspirator (identified as Groff by location match) as: "Currently living in Connecticut β’ Multiple victims and cooperating co-conspirators advised [she] worked out of Epstein's NYC residence as his personal assistant and was in charge of making phone calls to set up massage appointments... [she] would coordinate with [the main NYC victim] to schedule appointments... [she] would call victims to ask them if they had any new girls for Epstein... [she] sometimes paid the victims."
- EFTA00213368: FBI Special Agents traveled to Lesley Groff's home on August 21, 2007, to serve her with a federal [subpoena/process].
- EFTA00092643 (timeline of payments to co-conspirators): Notes "Lesley Groff was one of the four co-conspirators given immunity" under the non-prosecution agreement.
- EFTA02814855 (JPMorgan litigation): "identified Lesley Groff as a potential co-conspirator of Epstein."
Groff's co-conspirator designation, role as personal assistant, and immunity under the 2007 NPA are all confirmed.
Claim F β Additional named co-conspirators: Nicola Caputo, Salvatore Nuara, Zurab Mikeladze, Leonic Leonov
Verdict: NOT FOUND
A full-corpus grep search for all four names (Caputo, Nuara, Mikeladze, Leonov) found no hits for these specific individuals in the extracted DOJ corpus text. A "Kate Caputo" appears in a different context (a Leon Black assistant attending a Google visit in 2013), and a partial match "Nuarall" appears in one unrelated document β neither is a match. Zurab Mikeladze and Leonic Leonov appear nowhere in the extracted corpus.
These individuals were reportedly named in the February 2026 FBI document as released via the Epstein Files Transparency Act, but appear not to have been prominently covered in the earlier (pre-2026) documents that form the bulk of the extracted corpus. Their absence is consistent with them being lower-profile individuals whose names appear only in documents released in early 2026 (which may not yet be fully swept/extracted into the corpus).
Claim G β More names may remain redacted in broader documents
Verdict: SUPPORTS β Structural/Contextual
The FBI SITREP (EFTA00173201) and the parallel co-conspirator email (EFTA00175080) both contain multiple redacted co-conspirator entries alongside the unredacted ones. In EFTA00173201 alone, the structured intelligence table shows at least four redacted co-conspirator entries (locations: New York NY, Miami FL, New York NY, and London) in addition to the four unredacted names (Groff, Maxwell, Brunel, Wexner). This directly confirms that additional names existed in FBI documentation that were not publicly named β supporting the claim that more names remained redacted.
